We have heard the Golden Rule: Do unto others in the same way you would want others to do unto you.
Here is something similar to it: Treat the evidence supporting others’ beliefs in in the same way you would treat the evidence supporting your own belief.
Or: Treat the evidence supporting your belief in the same way you would treat the evidence supporting others’ beliefs.
We should not be very critical and sceptical towards evidence that supports others’ worldviews/religions, while being uncritical and easily accepts the evidence that supports our beliefs. For example, we should not easily accept as authentic the reports of miracles in our religion while being very critical of other religions’ reports of miracles.
The same critical assessment should be applied to the evidence supporting our beliefs and the evidence supporting those of others. Otherwise we would be unfairly biased and hence unethical.

You’re simply saying don’t be biased eh?
Almost all of us come from a biased position and view things from our existing perspective. What is important is for us not to be unfairly biased. 🙂
